Senior Baker

THE ROLE:
We are seeking an experienced and people-focused Senior Baker who shares our passion for all things sourdough and obsession for uncompromising quality to help lead our bakery team.

You will work closely and collaboratively with our Head Baker to engage and inspire your team to deliver outstanding products, creating a culture of development and creativity to keep our team and brand evolving.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
• Leading the day-to-day operations of our high-volume sourdough bakery
• Inspiring and motivating your team to deliver exceptional quality across all products
• Empowering your team to share ideas and creativity through continual development
• Managing all food safety compliance processes within the bakery
• Managing product ordering, production, stock and wastage in line with sales projections and patterns

ABOUT YOU:
• Minimum 2 years experience working with sourdough products
• Previous experience leading an artisan bakery team or similar
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of sourdough baking
• Passionate about people development
• Clear and confident communicator, quick to share honest feedback and praise
• Calm, positive and consistent
• Highly organised and able to work efficiently in a compact space
• Creatively driven, obsessive about quality

Salary: Up to £30k

Sourdough Baker

THE ROLE:
We’re looking for an experienced and driven baker to join our team who shares our passion for naturally leavened bread in all of it’s intricacies, with a keen eye for detail and uncompromising quality. You will bring enthusiasm, creativity and a collaborative mindset to keep our range evolving as we grow.

Under the leadership and guidance of our Head Baker you will become confident in managing both the processes and decision-making which ensure the consistency and exceptional standard of our breads.

WHAT YOU’ll BE DOING:
• Mixing, shaping and baking dough for our full range of products
• Management of bulk fermentation process
• Efficiently managing, prioritising and ensuring completion of daily & weekly prep tasks
• Completion of food safety processes: HACCAP, daily/weekly record keeping
• Processing wholesale product dispatch
• Product development: contributing creatively to keep our product range evolving
• Product ordering and managing deliveries into the business
• Quality control management on incoming produce and ingredients
• Completion of daily/weekly cleaning tasks, keeping the bakery organised, tidy and safe

ABOUT YOU:
• Minimum 6 months in a Baker role with experience working with sourdough products
• Confident and clear communicator
• Keen eye for detail and consistency, obsessive about quality
• Able to work efficiently and collaboratively as part of a small team
• Highly organised, able to work efficiently in a compact space
• Creatively driven with a passion for product development
• Passionate and knowledgeable about our industry and contemporaries
• Proactive about your own development and keen to grow with our business

Salary: £12/hr
